Danger Ball '77 is a Unreal 2004 Total Conversion team project completed during Term 3 at The Guildhall. The project was developed by 4 programmers, 2 artists, and 5 level designers.
Features:
- Original gamplay with two teams of roller girls battling with bats, shields, and grenades to take control of the ball and score goals.
- Custom movement code to simulate feel of skating.
- Custom melee attack system with lock-on charging, which I created.
- Three grenade weapons with different effects: foam to slow, fire to burn, and oil to slip.
I was responsible for:
- The custom melee attack system with lock-on charge attacks.
- A wide range of other gameplay code related tasks.
- Network code related tasks.
- Several sections of the TDD.
