Invalid Tangram is a fun little 2D game that is part vertical shooter and part puzzle. The design, programming, and art were all done by myself during the Summer 2005 quarter at The Guildhall.
- Invalid Tangram has been chosen as 1 of 10 Student Showcase Finalists out of more then 100 entrants in the 2007 Independent Games Festival.
- Invalid Tangram was one of four programmer games picked to be shown at The Guildhall 2005 Winter Exhibition.
- Currently being enhanced and ported to the Nintendo DS as Invalid Tangram DS.
Features:
- An interesting and fun original game design.
- A custom Win32 2D engine which uses vector rendering.
- Uses custom XML file formats I designed for all data, including:
- Unit files created from a custom unit editor.
- Encounter files created from a custom encounter editor.
- Entirely custom code with the exception of FMOD for sound playback and Win32 API for input/display.
